My career is basketball,(which happens to be my favorite sport) is sort of easy now. I started play when my dad bought my brother and I a Playskool basketbal rim for Christmas. The rim went up to 8 feet, so it was good practice for me. I learned more and more as I practiced, but one week it was too cold for me, so I didn't play for the rest of the Winter.
In the fifth Grade, I tried out for the basketball team and made it, but I didn't go to practice or any of the games, so I was cut from the team. After that year, I was transferred to Arthur Robert Ashe Elementary School. That was in 1997-1998(sixth grade). That year is when I improved in basketball, but I couldn't try out for the basketball team because I kept getting in trouble that year. Eighth grade is when I Got better at the sport. I worked on my 2pt and 3pt shooting, dribbling, layups, ball handling, and my jumping ability. Next year I am going to play for Simeon Career Academy. That's the school I attend. I'm playing next year because I want to work on my game this year, and get used to playing at my school. I want to get used to playing with other people older than me. That's my practice for right now. After High School, I plan to go to college the following Fall to play basketball, and hopefully get drafted into the NBA. That's my life dream.
Now, my secondary career happens to be in the field of culinary arts. I like to cook a lot.
I started cooking when I was at least 8 or 9 years old. Noone had to teach me how to cook. What I did was watch my father whewn he cooked, which was mainly breakfast. I learned how to cook meals because I was grounded for a while, so I didn't have anthing better to do. I got into cooking by doing that. Now I cook sometimes for my family. I do it because I like to and I like to do things that most people wouldn't expect me to. So that way, it's a surprise to those people who don't expect me to cook. A few things I know how to cook are: eggs, bacon, pancakes, I know how to fry and bake Chicken, I know how to make pot roast, and I even know how to barbeque chicken, ribs, hotdogs, polishes, rib tips. |
