About Me

Hello my name is Darius Miller. I was born May 18, 1992, and went to school in 1994. I attended Frank L. Gillespie elementary school from pre-school all the way to the end of the fifth grade. I learned a lot of things in the school, but my favorite academic subject was mathematics, and my favorite sport was and still is basketball. I transferred to Arthur R. Ashe elementary school during the summer of 1997. That's where I really learned how to play basketball. My sixth grade teacher was Ms.Joann Scott. She was my favorite teacher. She taught me even more things in math than I had already knew. Also in the sixth Grade I met my best friend Darrion Harris. He always had my back. When someone wanted to fight me, he stuck up for me. So in return I stuck up for him. Darrion and I are stil best friends, and now, we both attend Simeon.

In seventh grade, my teacher was Ms.Jennifer Lee Curtis. She was my least favorite Teacher. She did, however, teach me more things about math, as well as all the other subjects, but her specialty was Social studies, my weakest subject in school.That school year is when I improved in basketball, but I couldn't try out for the basketball team because I kept getting in trouble that year.

Eighth grade is when I really "kicked everything up a knocth." I was getting excellent grades, made the basketball team, and was starting to make real friends. Yeah, I had my ups and downs, a few fights but I didn't sweat it though. In the end of the year, I got into an argument with my teacher, so she said I couldn't attend our Graduation.

Now, I am a freshman at Simeon Career Academy, with many friends, and few foes. I'm doing great. The beginning of the school year started rocky, but i'm bringing everything up so that I can rejoin the basketball team. And i'm also in the Innovateen program in Kennicott Park.
