Mission
The mission of InnovaTeen is to bridge the technology gap by offering programs to underserved youth
in the areas of computer technology, design & multimedia, career development and life skills
InnovaTeen is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization providing underserved youth between the
ages 10 - 18 with various programs. Our main InnovaTeen program for teens includes a curriculum workshops and sessions including interactive instruction,
discussion, projects, training in a variety of setting that incorporates preparation for
college and various careers, development of skills to better navigate through life, and
specialized computer and technology training. The program includes instruction in the
following areas:
Technical Skills:
HTML, Website Development Concepts, Graphic Design, Photoshop,
Internet/Email, Digital Video, Multimedia, Sound Production, Animation,
Computers in Careers
Professional & Life Skills:
Time Management, Career Research, Money Management,
Public Speaking/Presentations, Budgeting, Professional Appearance,
Credit Basics, Interviewing, Resume Writing, College Preparation,
Financial Planning/Investing, Mentor Relations, Responsibility &
Leadership
The organization also links participants to summer internships where they
can further develop and utilize the skills acquired during the program
but in real world work environments.
